God's Love.

When the world was languishing in darkness and sin
Jesus our Emmanuel was born
To be a light to human hearts within
And to comfort those who languish and mourn
He came to earth that Christmas day
To save the lost and the ones that stray
To strengthen the weak and the ones who seek
And to give the earth to the small and the meek.

To the nation who knew not their Father above
Jesus our Saviour was born of old
To show them all the Father's truth and love
And to bring home the wanderers back to the fold
He came to be a shepherd that day
To save the lost and the ones that stray
To strengthen the weak and the ones who seek
And to give the earth to the small and the meek.

And the star that heralded Jesus' birth
By the child in a manger was outshone
There is no greater light on this earth
That this child who was God's one and only Son
He came to earth that Christmas day
To save the lost and the ones that stray
To strengthen the weak and the ones who seek
And to give the earth to the small and the meek.

When you find that your life's reached it's lowest place
And you're feeding the pigs in a pigsty somewhere
And you know that you've misused your Father's grace
And you long to fill your stomach with the pods
That you're feeding the pigs and there's nothing for you there
Turn around and go home, and say, "Father I've sinned
I'm no longer worthy to be called your son"
Before you've finished you'll find that it's true:
God in his love is embracing you.
